It started with Ho-oh, it ended with Ho-oh. That's pretty poetic honestly. And Butterfree at the end!! They seriously nailed this ending.

The freaking end of an era this. Ngl, I got pretty emotional watching this. Like, I know there's still that 11 ep series coming in January, but this is the last proper big series we're getting with Ash, just hits honestly.

Whilst I AM sad to see my boi finally leave though, I'm also happy at the same time. For both him and the fact I would've been fuming if they ruined his world championship victory.

Personally loved Journeys overall! Not perfect, but still enjoyable. Biggest disappointments for me were Ash not interacting with May or Serena basically at ALL (hopefully the mini series fixes this)... And I guess the fact that we never saw Brandon at all for the Regi arcs. But yeah, fun times otherwise for me (and obviously with bs battle results aside).

And... thank you Ash, for all the memories!

My only complaint is that it didn't end with Ash's 11th birthday party...

π Ton • 1 year ago

Actually there is a pokemon special about ash and pikachu 1 year anniversary party back in the OG.

NuclearBernz • 1 year ago

I know, that Pichu special before the Pokemon 2000 movie I think, but that wasn't an 11th birthday. Also in the Japanese dub the party's purpose wasn't specified (Frankly on the english dub front, if it was canon Ash would be at least 12 since they stated it was two years when Ash returned to viridian city)

LOL true

APMRF • 1 year ago

Agreed. Absolutely poetic and amazing last episode with Ho-Oh, that Butterfree and a brief moment of Mewtwo flying. These moments hit hard and quite deeply.

May seems unlikely. Her voice actress retired in 2012 after contracting a vocal condition that pained her to speak.

strange guy • 1 year ago

Ah that’s sad

theultimategamer95 • 1 year ago

True. Could always get a new one if it came to it though.

Con D Oriano • 1 year ago

Really, love this series overall. Sure Goh is not that great of a character but this series have many enjoyable battle from VS Bea, VS Cynthia, VS Dande and more. Many old character making appearance here which is very nostalgic. Not to mention Satoshi finally becoming the world champion. Truly a great series.

Now just waiting for the new series, where I heard that every single one of old character appear, marking the end of an era, and our 10 years old boy can finally end his 25 years career

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Or Max ether and yeah it's sad T^T

lavi2112 • 1 year ago

Another big problem In my opinion is ash never going to take his pidgeot back.

He had a couple of chances in this serie, also in this episode with the group of pidgeot, they even made a butterfly reunion, why not also pidgeot.
Like you said I hope they won't forget to fix it in the new mini serie.

theultimategamer95 • 1 year ago

Realised that after making my comment yeah. Could happen in his epilogue series though, one can hope.

Tan • 1 year ago

Glad I'm not the only one who's bothered by this

MythicalV • 1 year ago

There's just one little teensy problem...

Ho-Oh gave Ash immortality but if Ash sees Ho-Oh again (which he did) he will be back to normal and his journey had to end which makes sense. The 11 episodes might show him age at the end? And we'll see if the Ash's daughter theory really happens 🤔

theultimategamer95 • 1 year ago

Good point! If that's actually a plot point then holy sh*t.

Anonyms • 1 year ago

I am so glad they showed meeting butterfree, it just feels complete...

Phillip Brooker • 1 year ago

Be even more complete by including Pidgeot.

Anonyms • 1 year ago

Damn i forgot that... thanks for reminding mate...

Phillip Brooker • 1 year ago

No prob. I also remember Primeape, just to see how its been doing.

I glimpsed *a* primeape when he started running after parting with Go.

ThatMan666 • 1 year ago

Does this apply to Movie-verse Ash too or what?

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

So far I heard from past blogs that the franchise will still keep his character in canon but not sure, It's speculation.

WhiteTiger • 1 year ago

I think they'd be crazy not to. Having him cameo once in a while seems like a must.

Superb Villain Veigar • 1 year ago

Ash VS Leon was more emotional for me but this episode hit the feels alright

theultimategamer95 • 1 year ago

Yeah, I definitely got more emotional over that battle too, but still.

Zabe • 1 year ago

just watching the ep amd reading your comment, I wanna cry

Zoro_YNWA <3 • 1 year ago

I have grown up with this. Honestly it makes me feel emotional. You couldn't have said it better

strange guy • 1 year ago

Heard kinda meh reactions on journey’s from the public

Fuzzy3lectro • 1 year ago

Hi Paragraph-san

nathan • 1 year ago

hopfully we still get movies with him as the lead role, the coco movie was peak story telling

Con D Oriano • 1 year ago

And thus ends another journey. My boy Satoshi finally becoming World Champion, a great way to finish the series. Overall a great series, a solid 8/10 for me

I will wait for the grand finale, and then we will finally say goodbye to our childhood hero Ash Ketchum aka Satoshi from Masara Town

Lady Ezrabette • 1 year ago

IT is not fully over thier are 11 more chapters till the end of his story

allen davies • 1 year ago

hence why they said " i wi;ll wait for the grand finale"

Ash: I can’t believe I saw Ho-oh again! The first time I saw him was on my tenth birthday, when I first became a Pokémon trainer and met Pikachu!

Goh: Wow, and since then you’ve been to so many regions, fought so many battles! It must have been forever since you first saw it.

Ash: Yeah, it was like ten months ago

God_From_The_Machine • 1 year ago

BUTTERFREE! <3 <3 <3 <3

I cry a bit. lol..

Night • 1 year ago

Finally, after all these years, Ash's Butterfree and his pink Butterfree girlfriend have returned

Gabre • 1 year ago

FINALLY! They really went like "Come on! It's the beginning of the end! Let's give it to them!"

Night • 1 year ago

"if I say they continue, continue they will." Sounds like the narrator doesn't want Ash to leave the anime

GigaCapybara • 1 year ago

or maybe the narrator was Arceus all the time

Flying_Eagle_007 • 1 year ago

It’s the end of an era, Ash is finally being retired after 25 years. Maybe he’ll reappear in the new series but older, who knows.

Night • 1 year ago

Maybe he's the dad of the new female protagonist

Eyleen Sena • 1 year ago

That'd be a bloody plottwist ! I'd enjoy that but I highly doubt it'd be the case. But I'll be looking for your comment in the new series if you end up being right !

NuclearBernz • 1 year ago

how though... It could be 25 years in the future and Ash'll still be 10 somehow...

Darkawolf X • 1 year ago

you are saying it like hes the only one who thought of this lmao. so many people are thinking of this

Eyleen Sena • 1 year ago

hahaha it sounds like it but no I saw a bunch of comments on other websites, it's just that it was the first comment in the section here mentionning it

Shadow • 1 year ago

or maybe the dad of the boy protagonist ;)

Night • 1 year ago

Or maybe the dad of both of the protagonist

strange guy • 1 year ago

I doubt it honestly
